Quantum Science grew from observations and analysis of the nature. Presently, it offers to augment our understanding of the universe and bring pioneering technologies, from quantum computers to ultra-precise measuring devices to next-generation materials. The UNESCO is going all the way out to celebrate 2025 as the Year of Quantum Science and Technology. The student community, especially, Sciences and Engineering students, should be aware of the concepts, theories, models and applications of Quantum Science. Therefore, popularizing this subject has become the need of the hour. The aim of establsihing the Centre for Excellence in Quantum Science (CEQS) is to creat basic understanding of Quantum Science concepts in the school and college students and align their innovative ideas towards the solutions of current problem. Further, the CEQS aims to enable exchange of information and collaboration among researchers and pioneers in the field of Quantum Science at institutions around the world.
VISION
Inspire young children and researchers towards quantum science and its applications as well as to find innovative solutions to current problems quantum science.
MISSION
To advance quantum science by:
1. Delivering seminars/ workshops in schools as well as higher education institutions.
2. Facilitating exchange of information and collaboration among researchers and pioneers in the field of quantum science.
3. Taking up innovative projects in the field of quantum science.
CEQS is focused on studying the fundamental laws of Quantum Physics. This is essential for building a foundation of knowledge in quantum mechanics, which is the basis for quantum technologies.
CEQS aims to use its understanding of quantum mechanics to develop groundbreaking quantum technologies which can have transformative effects on various industries and the broader society.
The centre seeks to create partnerships with various stakeholders, including other research institutions, industries, and government organizations for advancing quantum research and its applications.
CEQS will be dedicated to addressing current and future challenges using quantum solutions. Quantum computing, for example, has the potential to solve complex problems in fields such as cryptography, material science, and optimization.
CEQS will offer educational programs, including courses and workshops, to train the next generation of quantum scientists and engineers for building a skilled workforce in quantum technologies.
Research is at the core of CEQS's activities. The centre will conducts cutting-edge research in quantum information science and technology, contributing to the global knowledge base in this field.
CEQS will facilitate building a community of researchers, students, and industry professionals interested in quantum technologies, for fostering collaboration and sharing knowledge.
CEQS will facilitate access to funding opportunities and grants for researchers and students working on quantum-related projects, which will help accelerate research and innovation in the field.
CEQS is a non-profit forum dedicated to benefiting society. The members of this center do not receive any financial compensation for their activities; their work is purely voluntary.
